As a new patient you might have many questions here are a few pieces of information that will guide you to feel more comfortable, even before coming to the office for your first visit.

Understanding your first visit.

New Patient Exam and Evaluation

Your exam includes: photos, x-rays, an intraoral scan, and an oral examination.

Discussion of Treatment Options and Goals

Following the evaluation, we will discuss treatment modalities to include metal braces, ceramic braces, aligners, appliances and any additional treatment steps that would be required to achieve the outcome we are working towards.

Review of Investment Costs and Insurance Coverages

We will review the pricing of each of the treatment options suggested with a thorough explanation of the available payment plans, and explore the insurance coverage options if they are available to you through your insurance provider.

Depending on the needs discussed in the evaluation and treatment options, we will review the next steps and develop a plan to start treatment.

Other things to know.

At the initial appointment, we will have the chance to get acquainted and will determine if there is a need for orthodontic treatment. Many of your questions will be answered at this appointment, and we encourage you to ask about any of your concerns.

  • For patients under 18 years old, we require one or both parents to be present at the exam.

  • If orthodontic treatment is indicated, a second, longer appointment will be arranged to acquire the necessary diagnostic information.

  • Please fill out our Patient Information Form. You must complete and submit a new patient information form prior to your appointment, or bring it to the initial appointment.

Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, and appreciate your cooperation.

  • We will gladly assist you in submitting both predetermination and initial insurance claims pertaining to charges for care rendered in our office.

  • For the convenience of our patients, we also accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

  • Upon approved credit, we also offer no-interest financing through our office.
